Prof. Dr. İlber Ortaylı, one of the most preeminent historians, intellects and academicians in the world, will come together with Deniz Ülke Arıboğan, internationally renowned academician for an extraordinary conversation which will take us on a unique journey throughout various ideas shaping the world history.

Ortaylı is a world wide known history professor specialized on Turkish and Ottoman history. He graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Political Sciences and History Department at Ankara University, Faculty of Languages, History and Geography. He made his master's degree at the University of Chicago. He obtained his doctorate at Ankara University in the Faculty of Political Sciences. In 1979, he was appointed as associate professor at the same faculty. After teaching at the most prominent universities in the world, in 1989 he became professor of history and the head of the section of administrative history at Ankara University. Having written several books and academic works, Ortaylı is a member of world’s most prestigious academic institutes and institutions.

Arıboğan is a professor of International Relations at Istanbul University and a Senior Fellow of CRIC (Center for the Resolution of Intractable Conflict) at University of Oxford. She was previously the Rector of Bahcesehir University between 2007-2010. She has also been a WAAS (World Academy of Arts and Sciences) fellow since 2005. She is the author of nine books and several academic articles. Prof. Arıboğan holds a PhD and MA in International Relations from Istanbul University, Institute of Social Sciences.
