Mikko Hypponen is a former hacker and a globally known cyber security expert.

Serving as Chief Research Officer at F-Secure, one of the world's foremost cyber security companies, Hypponen is in the lists of Foreign Policy’s “Top 100 Global Thinkers” and PC World’s “50 Most Important People on the Web.”

Having assisted law enforcement authorities in the United States, Europe and Asia on cybercrime cases, Hypponen has been the first to warn the world about many largest malware outbreaks in history.

In 2010 he received the Virus Bulletin Award as “The Best Educator the Industry”, which is given every ten years.

He has lectured at the universities of Stanford, Oxford and Cambridge.
